NEW: KIDS FREE SUMMER SECOND SATURDAYS
In Partnership with The Denver Foundation
June 13, July 11, August 8
New this year, Denver Botanic Gardens (the Gardens) offers Kids Free Summer Second Saturdays at its York Street and Chatfield Farms locations thanks to generous support from The Denver Foundation (TDF). This community access initiative provides free general admission to children ages 3-15, accompanied by an adult, on Saturday, June 13, July 11 and August 8.
“Introducing children to the world of plants fosters curiosity, environmental stewardship, cognitive development and healthy living,” says Donna McGinnis, Denver Botanic Gardens CEO. “We are grateful The Denver Foundation is helping make the Gardens more accessible for families.”
Learning engagement opportunities include science chats, learning carts, family library programs and self-guided explorations. Seasonal highlights include the summer art exhibition Jaume Plensa: A New Humanism at York Street and Butterflies at Chatfield Farms, a Colorado native butterfly habitat in collaboration with the Butterfly Pavilion.
“We're excited that so many kids and families will be able to visit this beautiful place and experience this incredible art. Vibrant communities require access to natural spaces, and we hope everyone can get out and enjoy the Gardens this summer," said The Denver Foundation President and CEO Javier Alberto Soto.
Advance reservations are recommended at botanicgardens.org. No code is needed, free admission will be auto-applied to children’s tickets on these dates.
