For theater-loving kids and families, there’s no place quite like New York—and no summer experience quite like Camp Broadway®.
Known as the “Camp of Dreams,” Camp Broadway’s MAINSTAGE is a five-full-day theater camp that gives young people ages 10–17 the opportunity to experience Broadway from the inside out. Campers from across the country and around the world come to New York City to sing, dance, act, make new friends, and learn from a team of professional director/choreographers and musical directors led by Camp Broadway Artistic Director Theo Lencicki.
Throughout the week, campers work together as an ensemble rehearsing songs and scenes from beloved musicals, developing their skills and confidence while making new friends who share their passion for theater. The experience culminates in Camp Broadway’s Family Finale Showcase, giving every participant the opportunity to perform for family and friends on a New York stage. The week also includes a field trip to a Broadway theater to see a musical, giving campers the opportunity to experience professional theater firsthand and connect what they are learning in rehearsal with the artistry they see on stage.
Camp Broadway’s motto is “Develop Your Character.” At MAINSTAGE, that means more than developing a character for the stage. Through rehearsal, performance, and experiencing Broadway firsthand, young people learn to listen, collaborate, take creative risks, support one another, and contribute to something larger than themselves.
