My daughter mentioned she wanted to play the electric guitar. She’s had piano lessons prior to the guitar and found it to be extremely boring with only one on one lessons. From the moment we walked into SOR, we were greeted by Darek playing the ukulele at our initial tour, i already knew by the smile on my daughters face this was going to be a perfect fit for her. She started in March of this year. Started with seven nation army and went from there. Not only is she playing a handful of songs. But she’s looking up more songs to play on her own. Darek and Shannon are very warm, welcoming and outgoing. They are amazing with all of the kids. You can see the confidence shine on all the children’s faces walking in and out just during drop offs and pick ups. Gabby, Carlos and Mackenzie have all worked with my daughter and fuel her desire to continue to play and improve her skills with their positive praise. What makes SOR so unique compared to other places is the fact that these kiddos get to play in a band. I also have another daughter in their rookies class who has no idea which instrument she wants to play but has the opportunity to play them all and that makes her day. If you’ve been thinking of giving SOR a try. I would do it sooner rather than later.
