Our Immersive Nutcracker Experience in Boston

  • We got to choose from many dates available for the Immersive Nutcracker experience in Boston, MA. They have dates throughout November and all of December. My family loves the Nutcracker, I personally danced in the performance when I was a kid and teen at my dance studio. My kids love listening to the music and watching the dances, especially around Christmas time. We've been watching the performance on Youtube so I knew they were going to love experiencing the Immersive Nutcracker.

I had never heard of the Immersive experiences before so I was excited to check it out. We went on a Sunday and when we got there we could hear the music playing. The room was huge and the walls were so tall with projections of the Christmas scenes and dancers dancing all over the walls. It's great for little kids because it's so bold and large that there are so many places to look to be entertained. I was surprised but they sat there the entire time and watched the performance play out. They liked being able to run up and touch the walls with the projections, as well as dancing around the floor. It was a quick 30 minute show but it was a good amount of time.

After the show was done we walked around to a few set ups that were available for picture taking. One of them was a house scene with a fireplace and giant nutcracker next to a Christmas tree. There was also another whimsical set up with lights and frosted trees. After we took our photos, we stopped by the gift shop and bought a Clara and Nutcracker ornament for our Christmas tree at home. Overall it was a fun experience to take the kids to and we would be interested in seeing other shows such as the Immersive Disney show!
