Metro Detroit Business Offers Support for Parents Nationwide
Ferndale, Mich.— Metro Detroit’s Honey Space for Moms has opened its doors to parents across the country. Honey Space has launched Honey Space for Parents Online, a virtual community lounge, classes and workshops, and series of support groups for both moms and dads, ranging from support for expecting moms to parenting tots and couples groups.
"Our purpose has always been to take care of the people who make the people. Not having a physical space to gather isn't going to stop us-- quite the opposite. Parents need us, and we are here-- we are everywhere.", says Brooke Miller, Founder, and CEO of Honey Space.
Miller, a licensed psychotherapist, opened Honey with big aspirations to shift the way we care for moms and moms-to-be.
“Too often a mother’s perinatal care is focused solely on the health of the baby. Healthy babies don't make healthy mothers. Healthy mothers raise healthy babies. We simply must take care of ourselves."
All Honey groups are offered virtually and are led by Honey trained and certified experts in the fields of maternal mental health, holistic sleep, feeding, and working parenthood. Parents can purchase a four-week series by visiting their website, honeyforparents.com
Honey Space for Moms is a clubhouse for moms and moms-to-be. It was opened nearly five years ago by licensed psychotherapist, Brooke Miller after she moved to Michigan from California and couldn’t find the parental support options she needed. Honey offers co-working with on-site childcare, private and couples therapy, motherhood support groups, lactation and holistic sleep support, and coaching for working moms.
