Disclosure: I received the following products free as a part of the US Family Guide group of bloggers in exchange for my honest opinion. All opinions are my own.
This8-Piece Food Set is made by Ozeri, and it has been great for keeping food fresh.Today I thought I’d share a few features about these unique food storage containers, and how I liked them after trying them.
How long can prepped foods stay in the fridge?I look to thesource for food safety storage timesI trust this set of guidelines the best.Having been in the food service industry, these are where we grabbed our food safe tips. This is perfect if you love to meal plan, do food prepping in advance, and then store them in these containers for using later for family meals.
Here’s how these food storage containers work;
BPA-free, stain-resistant, shatter-proof and as transparent as glass; Freezer, microwave and dishwasher safe; Satisfaction guaranteed.
There is a freshness release valve. This is for taking excess air out of the containers. The dial is for tracking the day of the month the food was first stored, and monitor days in the fridge.
They come in multiple sizes.I love the large 21 cup size for putting my crock pot chicken into.I cooked 6 large breasts chicken in the crock pot, doubling myrecipe. I stored it, and all the sauces in the 21 cup size.
This is what we prepped or made and stored in the food storage containers;
One day we had chicken tacos. We prepped all the toppings, plus enough for a salad for the next day. We used the extra chicken to pre-makechicken enchiladas, and the rest was used for mysoup. If you have a larger family you’d probably go through that in 2 days vs.3 but, you get the idea.
When your not using these containers store them inside each other by nesting them.With the lids on.No losing parts.Just make sure they are 100% dry before storing.
What does vacuuming out the air do? It helps reduce bacteria, and keep food fresher.
Instant vacuum freshness without pumps, motors or confusing parts; Simply press down on the lid and air is forced out via the one-way valve.
Patented valve removes excess air to reduce naturally occurring bacteria; It also releases pressure to prevent spills and splatters in microwaves.
Wave pattern on bottom of each container keeps cut fruit and vegetables elevated from water and juices.
Handy date dial allows you to record when food was first stored and monitor days kept in the refrigerator.
What will your store in your set of these containers?
