They help me be accountable as to what needs to get done. And I find them motivating so I can see how much I actually have done.
I make daily To-Do lists, grocery lists, household DIY lists, and even lists for my daughter (she loves this, really).
I find that summer is the best time to get the Home DIY lists done. Since it's my husband's busiest time at work we don't take our family vacations (usually) during the summer. My daughter is done with homeschool for the season. And of course, that means I have more time to devote to things at home.
Summertime I like to pull out my DIY hat and try my hand at a few things on this list.
This year's list included...
Paint some outdoor furniture
Hang some blinds
Make new Raised Garden Beds
Declutter, Clean, and Organize the Homeschool Room
Declutter, Clean, and Organize the Garage
Declutter, Clean, and Organize the indoor deep storage (I don't know what else to call it but it's the big storage underneath the stairs)
Of course, all this home improvement and DIYing means countless trips to our local Home Depot. For screws, weeding tools, wood, even a water pressur machine this year.
My husband really prefers Home Depot because for the person that is fairly comfortable tackling home projects they offer the right tools and plenty of options.
But before we make that trek a few minutes away to our local Home Depot it pays to visit Groupon.com first.
Groupon.com can show us countless discounts, coupons, and sales for Home Depot. And it's not just online stuff but printable coupons too. Some items we've needed from Home Depot aren't available in the store but only through online ordering. When I use Groupon I can be sure to get some savings thrown in there too!
Groupon also has several tabs to find the right discount.
Such as, Shop Local, Products, Trips, Deal of the Day, Get Coupons, or Find out what is on sale.
Home Depot isn't the only retailer on Groupon.com. You can find deals from Amazon, Bed Bath and Beyond, eBay, Home Decorators and countless more. I'm just showcasing a few of my favorite but there are many more stores to choose from.
So do you already visit Groupon.com before setting out to shop?
