We were lucky enough to be chosen to be able to attend the Carolina Renaissance Festival in Huntersville, NC this year. We were sent tickets for our family and a VIP Parking Pass to attend. We had plans on going sooner than we did but we decided to attend it the last weekend it was open. We had a blast and Olivia has asked to go back next year!
We arrived just before the opening act and we enjoyed it. I felt like I was out of my elements because a lot of people were dressed the part for the festival and I was just dressed in plan clothes. There was even a couple there that was dressed as Mario and Princess Peach which I don't know why they were but we had to snap a quick picture of it. Olivia and I both tried new things we have never had before and we ate like pigs while there. I had a turkey leg which I was not too fond of but did find a place near the entrance of the festival that had a funnel cake! Score! It was a bad idea to wear a black sleeved shirt though.
We saw many acts while there and we even saw the jousting which was Olivia's highlight of the day. We soon decided to start heading back home in which we were glad we did. Traffic later on come to find out what crazy because of the Carolina Panthers Game. We will be doing this again in the future just next time to go on a warmer day!
Thank you to Carolina Renaissance Festival for providing our tickets for us to enjoy our time there! We will be back!
