If you want to escape the heat and have scientific fun with the whole family, The Carnegie Science Center is the place to go! I recently spent the day at the Science Center with my 11 year old son and his friend. It was a great time from beginning to end and well worth the price of admission. We started out at the new Highmark Sports Works. This is a large, separate building just adjacent to the m… read full review here

We visited Portrait Innovations for the first time today to get some updated shots of the kids. I was attracted to them because several friends had recently been there and the pictures turned out so beautifully. Also, they offer an attractive $9.95 portrait package with no extra fees - what a deal! We had a 2pm appointment and arrived 5 minutes early. I was happy that we were called into the photo… read full review here

The volunteer spirit in Pittsburgh around the holidays is beautiful to behold. Volunteer positions to help set up, serve and clean the holiday meal at area missions and shelters on Thanksgiving Day actually fill up by early October. There are many other days in the holiday season, however, and many more ways in which you can assist those who need a little helping hand. Holiday Meals for the H… read full review here

With the construction of the new SportsWorks right next door, parking is at a premium, so we were happy to be able to park in the Science Center lot for a nominal $5 (only $3 if you are members!) and it w… read full review here

Wiggles The Wiggles in the Wiggly Circus Live, P…     by Lisa Noel - Aug 30th, 2010
This Saturday my two year old son and I attended The Wiggles Wiggly Circus. The show was at the Rosemont Theatre which is easy to get to, with easy to access parking and the place is really nice. Inside the theater is cozy and I'm pretty sure there weren't any truly bad seats. But we had AMAZING seats. With no food or drinks allowed in the theatre you're safe from wandering snocone and popcorn… read full review here
